Kara started Paws For Walks Chicago in 2013. With a huge passion for animals, she knew working with animals needed to be a part of her career. 

Kara grew up with dogs her entire life and adopted her first dog from PAWS a few months prior to starting the company. Leah, her dog, was the inspiration behind starting the company and now the logo of the company.

Kara likes to spend her free time traveling with her wife, walking around Chicago, working out and spending time with friends and family.

Mei Lin (she/her) grew up with loads of animals as her siblings including three different pugs, a yellow lab, a dalmatian, numerous cats, two miniature horses and one big horse. 

She is also a wedding, elopement, & dog photographer!

Mei Lin Barral Photography is a Chicago & France eco-conscious and LGBTQIA+ affirming wedding & elopement photographer for couples who lead with love, inclusivity, and a passion for the planet, including your four-legged family. Here to create a safe, affirming, and meaningful experience for every love story, especially those who are often under-represented. Specializing in intimate wedding and elopement photography for queer couples and dog parents.
