Kara started Paws For Walks Chicago in 2013. With a huge passion for animals, she knew working with animals needed to be a part of her career. 

Kara grew up with dogs her entire life and adopted her first dog from PAWS a few months prior to starting the company. Leah, her dog, was the inspiration behind starting the company and now the logo of the company.

Kara likes to spend her free time traveling with her wife, walking around Chicago, working out and spending time with friends and family.

I am a crazy animal lover but especially partial to dogs and horses. I grew up constantly around dogs and do not feel any gathering or home is complete without a pet. My favorite home memories are waking up with family and watching dogs play in the living room as I waited for the caffeine to kick in while we laughed at the creative wrestling and tug of war moves. I enjoyed family vacations to extended familly's farms and helping out with chores. I also welcomed dogs for therapy in my previous classrooms and appreciate all animals offer communities. I do adore cats but am allergic to them unfortunately. 

I am happy to care for your pets and be sure they have safe walks with lots of sniffs, engagement and activities or whatever makes them happiest while you are away. I also help with office administration and am happy to answer any questions you may have about our services.
